Secret Batch
Candle
A quiet December afternoon, the kitchen warm against the cold outside. Ginger and cardamom rise from the oven, followed by cinnamon, clove, and the richness of browned butter. Caramel and vanilla soften the spices, filling the room with the unmistakable comfort of gingerbread. A familiar holiday ritual, made a little more indulgent. The kind of recipe worth keeping to yourself, even if you always end up sharing.
